Because it is 3am.

We have been listening to this band for years and there new single is so very them it's delightful! I have only seen them in person once (the second chance to see them was intercepted by a Ludo show and well, we have our loyalties) and they are very good live too.

You meet the most random people at Maker Faire. The person in the following video (Bilal, who was with the Instructables crew) I talked to for probably close to an hour at the make diner. The conversation I had with him was 1.) completely random in topic and 2.) probably the most interesting conversation I had with anyone all weekend. Which is why it doesn't surprise me even a tiny bit that he did a Crowd-Sourced Hair cut.



He posted an Instructable about it as well which is also worth checking out just because it is funny.

This video just made my weekend.

Something about this is so captivating. Be sure you watch to the end - the last 2 minutes are the best!

The Whitest Kids U Know alone is worth paying for digital cable (the shows air of IFC).

Kris and I had an invitation from our Austin friend Mark to stay at his place for "as long as we want." We ended up staying a week. Well, technically it was Monday night through Friday night.

( I don't remember what we did on which days for the most part so I will just give a sweeping summary of the highlights. )

So that's it! I hope next year is as much fun as this year.

This week, a band by the name of Locksley has rocketed to the top of my Favorite Bands list. Of course, Firescape and Ludo are still ahead of Locksley (for now) only because of the grand gestures made by Firescape (traveling half way across the country to play in Iowa for us and planning us a surprise song) and Ludo (managing to have us included in their press) and of course because they are amazing people.

On a semi-related note, Ludo touring with Reliant K = TOUR FAIL. Seriously, whoever thought putting Ludo with christian bands was a good idea never actually listened to Ludo's music. I have never before considered not going to see Ludo play in Iowa - until now.

We saw the band Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin on Friday. I'm pretty much in love with them now. If you like The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Idlewild, etc. you will like this band.

They blew their entire video budget on a DeLorean. I love how ridiculous that band is.

Did you know that the only "color" DeLoreans came in was brushed stainless steal? You can still get brand new DeLoreans made mostly with parts manufactured in the early 80's.
